DAY RIDES

--Rides for Racers, listed at NYVelocity.com. Please, these are rocket rides, not for the uninitiated, unless you want to be humiliated. You can also read racing gossip on this site, but unless you are part of the scene, it can come off a bit inclusive and self-serving.

--Five Boro Bike Club lists all their day rides here. These will also be listed when possible on NYCycleNews, in the News and Hook-Ups section. All abilities are noted for the rides.

--Major rides listed with BicycleHabitat (located on Lafayette St. in Soho). This ride list is edited by non other than the infamous Charlie McCorkell.

--Mountain biking in New Jersey with the North Jersey Mountain Biking Club. There is a ride almost every Sunday. If you don't have a car, you can often arrange to meet one of the riders who does have a car at the GWB on the jersey side, around 7 am in the morning.

--New York based Bike Friday group spearheaded by Jim Dwyer has their own special rides, including one scheduled for Thailand!!! this year.
